BeetRoot Chutney

Beetroot 1 Grated

Fresh Coconut 2 tbsp(But now I used Coconut Powder)

For Powder:
Dry Chillies 3
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Ur ad Dal 1 tsp
Salt for taste

For Seasoning:-
Garlic 1 pond
Curry leaves
Ur ad Dal,Channa Dal,mustard seeds each 1/4 tsp
Onion 1/4 cup chopped


  1. Dry roast the powder ingredients under dry powder. Grind to a smooth powder once its cooled.
  2. In the same pan just fry the grated beetroot without oil until it turn dry..Grind roasted ingredient n beetroot,Coconut together with salt n water (If required only)until its turns a Coarse paste.
  3. Take a small pan and heat 2 tsp of oil..splutter mustard,split black gram and curry leaves,Sliced Garlic,ChoppedOnions add the ground paste and turn it for 3 minutes(low flame).
  4. Serve with Idly or with Dosi or Rice
