Ingredients:
Pudina/Mint Leaves 2 bunch/1 cup
Rice 1 cups
Cloves 2
Cinnamon 1 " inch
fennel Seeds 1 tsp
Peas 1/2 cup
Carrot 1/2 cup
GreenChilli 2
Coriander Leaves
Oil for tempering
Salt for taste.
Method:
- Wash and soak rice (I use basmathi) for 10 Min's
- Take the thick bottomed vessel(can use pressure cooker too) add oil when hot add fennel seeds and cloves, than add peas ,Carrot and saute In a meanwhile grind cilantro,mint and chillies to smooth paste using enough water.
- When veggies are half cooked add grind ed paste and 2 cups of water(for 1 cup rice). When water comes to boil add soaked rice, salt. Cover the pot with lid simmer it down for 10-12 min. It will be done by this time.
Serve with Raitha
